Pattern 1909 officer's parade helmet of the Life-Guards Horse Grenadier regiment.

Black leather body with black horsehair comb mounted from side to side. Front mounted with gilt Imperial eagle with silver enameled star of the Order of St. Andrew the First Called surmounted by Russo-Turkish war award scroll “For Capture of Vraci.” Gold-plated brass leather-backed chinscales held by two flaming grenade badges. Complete with red wool cape trimmed in gold bullion and tassel that is unique to this regiment. Red silk "curtains" type liner with leather sweatband.
Rarely seen solid silver Guards star is marked on lower left ray with 84 zolotniks silver hallmark.
Condition: Very good original condition, all original parts. Some damage to silk liner.
