Mid 19th century Caucasian style Shashqua sword with rich gilt silver mountings and a strap with matching silver details.
Lighly curved blade with two broad shallow fuller marked on both sides with Solingen imitation images of the Sun, Crecent Moon, Hand with a Sword and writing in Arabic script. Gold wash silver hilt of characteristic form with beaded decoration interspersed with small niello panels . Black leather covered scabbard with silver mounts and leather shoulder belt with silver details en style with the hilt.
