Ca. 1885 Islamic lock Caucasian style Shashqua sword with silver mountings with Central Asian prayer rug and ceremonial shield.
Straight 30 inch (77 cm) steel blade engraved with figure of an Emir, Moon and stars, the silver hilt with Islamic lock decorated with niello and marked Moscow 1885 and 84 zolotniks. The leather covered scabbard with silver mountings decorated en suite with the hilt.
Accompanied by the wool rug with traditional ornamentation, oversized ceremonial copper shield with Central Asian brass motifs and leather handles on underside.
